Job Responsibilities:
  • Provides secretarial support including typing, composing and proofreading, and transcribing correspondence.
  • Answers telephone, screens calls, refers callers/visitors to appropriate individuals.
  • Processes incoming and outgoing mail. Opens, sorts, and prioritizes correspondence.
  • Maintains appointment books for meetings and patients, and makes travel arrangements.
  • Assists with the preparation of materials, agendas, notes, and handouts.
  • Maintains files and equipment. Orders office supplies.
  • Assists other staff as requested.
  • Participates in educational activities and programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Two to three years of administrative/secretary experience in a health care setting preferred.
