Job Summary

The administrative assistant will provide professional administrative and clerical support to managers and employees. Candidate will work independently under the general direction of the Office Manager. Position requires strong computer skills, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task. Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.

Responsibilities
  • Provides professional administrative and clerical support to managers and employees
  • Effectively supports the Office Manager with the shipment of goods to customer base, adheres to shipping procedures, and maintains hard copies of shipping documents
  • Answers, screens, and directs phone calls and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Schedules and coordinates meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements as needed
  • Ensures operation of office equipment and maintains office supply inventory
  • Receives and tracks purchase orders, follows up with vendors as needed, and maintains purchase order files
  • Assists Office Manager with special projects and problem solving as needed

  • Able to work independently and prioritize tasks in a timely and effective manner
  • Maintains a positive attitude and works cooperatively and effectively with team members
  • Excellent ability to multitask with a strong attention to detail
Qualifications
  • General office and administrative support experience
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of operating standard office equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Must be able to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality
