Our client seeks a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support senior leadership and engineering teams. This position offers the chance to join a collaborative and fast-paced environment, with strong potential for full-time conversion after a successful temporary period.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive-level administrative support for 4-5 key leaders and a broader team of engineers
- Manage scheduling, calendar coordination, meeting logistics, and general correspondence
- Handle travel arrangements and process expense reports through Concur (experience a plus)
- Track departmental budgets, reconcile purchasing card transactions, and support procurement of office supplies
- Facilitate onboarding processes for new hires and maintain accurate department records
- Answer and direct incoming calls on behalf of executives
- Organize internal meetings and team events, ensuring smooth execution
- Back up other administrative staff within the Engineering division as needed
- Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information
- Monitor and follow up on employee timekeeping compliance
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in administrative or executive support roles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook/Teams
- Experience with Concur for travel and expense management preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work onsite daily at the Germantown, MD headquarters
