JOB SUMMARY:

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of Game & Fish Director, the Administrative Assistant communicates with river companies, and hunting clients. The Administrative is responsible for general office work. Accepts cash and credit card payments, daily deposits and sales, scanning and e-filing.

EMPLOYMENT DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Regular attendance is essential
  • Ability to answer incoming telephone calls and in-person reception and properly logs each contact. service while answering questions and selling permits
  • Ability to interact with guest or calling for information on river permits or hunts, being courteous, friendly and helpful
  • Organize and maintain employees time sheets, requisition for ordering supplies and materials for department, and general program filing
  • Ability to understand questions being asked and provide detailed information regarding tourism options
  • Ability to work in a team environment, multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationship with all department and staff
  • Assist with answering radio communication and properly logs each contact
  • Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Daily sales reports and sales of permits
  • Operating a cash register
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner, even when busy
  • Performs other job duties as assigned by department director
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Ability to speak and write clearly, proofread, accurately type 50 words per minute.
  • Must have experience on computers, calculators, and copy machine.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must be able to attend over night off-site workshops and other training as requested by supervisor.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and be eligible for the tribe's insurance.
