Job Responsibilities With minimal supervision, provide administrative support and coordination of day to day operations of Circuit Public Defender Office. Assist in maintenance and production of records, case management data, budget information and other data and information as required. Assist the Circuit Public Defender in establishing and monitoring compliance with policies and procedures within the judicial circuit. Perform a wide variety of complex administrative support functions and/or technical support duties. Other duties as assigned by the Circuit Public Defender.
Minimum and Additional Requirements A high school diploma and work experience related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of the principles, policies and practices of office management. Knowledge of applicable terminology and research practices. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies and organizational functions. Ability to plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to train other employees. Ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
Additional Comments Travel, including occasional overnight travel may be required. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
