1. Answer telephones, relays calls and/or takes messages. Responsible for retrieving and distributing messages left on voice mail off hours to respective staff, in a timely manner.
2. Promote a safe, cooperative and professional health care environmentto ensure optimum patient care (as per HR Policy 113c)
3. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, rules and regulations, including but not limited to, absenteeism, ETIME, cellular telephone usage, dress code and rules of conduct.
4. Responsible for the reception of individuals to the office area; advises staff of arrival of appointments, vendors or other situations.
5. Obtain bed reservation data on a daily basis on all patients admitted to 6. the Hospital from residential health care facilities.
6. Log all patients returning to nursing home, contact receiving home.
7. Makes Customer Service a priority, treating customers (patients, visitor, and co-workers) in a professional manner exercising courtesy and tact. Effectively communicates with patient and others about SBH services in their area(s) of expertise or responsibilities and ensures that concerns, questions or issues reach the right person(s) in SBH in a timely fashion.
8. Provide Transportation clerk with insurance information to facilitate discharge.
9. Performs filing and copying duties.
10. Provide coverage, as needed, in the absence of Transportation Coordinator.
11. Coordinate service maintenance on equipment and order other Office supplies as necessary.
12. Type and proof a variety of materials: e.g. Correspondence, memos, reports, charts, edit, make copies.
13. Performs other related tasks as requested by the Departmental administrative staff and/or Administration.
14. Coordinate vacation schedule, department head's appointments. Schedule meetings and conferences with hospital staff or other providers.
15. Enhance professional growth and development through educational programs.

Minimum of 2 years secretarial experience.
Prior experience in Social Work or related department preferred.
