A well-known medical college in New York City is currently seeking a new Administrative Assistant for a promising opportunity at one of their Bronx-based facilities. In this role, the Administrative Assistant will performing administrative support duties of a complex nature in support of departmental needs.
This is a great onsite opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite 5 days a week.
Responsibilities: The Administrative Assistant will:
- Facilitate urgent new faculty appointments to ensure compliance with LCME requirements
- Initiate communication with applicants for faculty appointments
- Respond to questions and issues from applicants regarding requirements and process
- Send reminders to applicants re: status of applications
- Coordinate with course/clerkship leaders, department chairs, and administrators to ensure documentation is received and returned to the Office of Academic Appointments for processing
- Provide support and maintenance of the Office of Faculty Affairs & Strategic Planning (OFASP) database ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Monitor and coordinate new faculty appointments with Office of Medical Education and clinical departments
- Create reports as requested by OFASP
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications: - 6+ months of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or related field (or equivalent skills and experience)
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to integrate continuous review and improvement to processes to meet the goals of the organization and deliver excellent and responsive service
- Advanced proficiency in database applications
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
