Job Description
PlaceWorks is seeking a part-time administrative assistant to provide in-office support in our Berkeley office. This position is for part-time employment (approximately 24 hours a week) with a flexible work schedule within standard office hours. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, be able to take direction from various team members, and be willing to assist with a range of tasks to help ensure that the Berkeley office runs smoothly. Duties will vary week to week and include but are not limited to:
- Receiving & Sending Mail and Package Deliveries
- Answering Phone Calls and Buzzing Guests Into the Building
- Tidying & Stocking Office Kitchen (Dishwasher, Fridge, etc.)
- Managing & Maintaining Workshop Kits
- Putting Away Meeting & Workshop Materials
- Typing Up Workshop/Meeting Notes
- Ordering & Coordinating All-In Day Lunches
- Picking Up Materials from Nearby Print Vendor
- Coordinating Equipment Check-Out
- Ordering Supplies
- Liaising with Building Management
- Supporting In-Office Social Events & Activities

- You can multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- You are comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office technology.
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00 per hour, dependent upon experience and other relevant factors.
