Project/Unit Description
Manage, coordinate, and perform administrative and procurement support activities required by assigned Project/Program Manager and government personnel. Project Coordinators assist Project/Program Managers with managing the project, program, or portfolio team to meet the project or sponsor objectives. Project Coordinators assist in monitoring and controlling the work of producing the products, services, or results that the project was undertaken to produce. Success is measured by budget compliance, timeliness, and degree of customer satisfaction. Project Coordinators are empowered with resources to enable individuals to work towards a career goal of becoming a successful Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain project budget
- Provide financial reporting to PM for monthly reporting to project sponsor.
- Provide purchasing support and inventory management to Project PM.
- Provide adhoc administrative support to PM as needed.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Candidates currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program relevant to this position will be considered.
- Experience with MAC OS and Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Great communication, Exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail.
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Organized and reliable
- Eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- 3 years' experience as an office administrator or procurement specialist working in an environment supporting technical and engineering focused clients.
- 4 years' experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Microsoft Office: Project, Database entry Property tracking and accountability.
Travel Requirements
10% - 25% travel - to San Diego as needed (not often)
Pay Rate: $30 - 40/hr based off years of experience, qualifications, and education/certifications
