About the Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Administrative Assistant to join our team supporting the Chemical Casualty Care Division (CCCD) of the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (MRICD). CCCD provides expert training and consultation on managing chemical incidents. Telspace supports this mission by delivering administrative support, program coordination, and advanced field training. The Administrative Assistant will provide day-to-day support to CCCD's operations at MRICD, working alongside a Lead Administrative Assistant.Responsibilities
  • Preparing, editing, formatting, and submitting official correspondence and documentation in accordance with established templates and procedures.
  • Supporting official travel processes by assisting with travel orders, itineraries, and accommodations through the Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Maintaining organized records and files across SharePoint, OneDrive, and shared drives.
  • Scheduling and coordinating training courses, meetings, conferences, and appointments.
  • Supporting course administration by collecting and organizing training materials, schedules, rosters, and related documentation.
  • Assisting with student registration systems (e.g., ATRRS, RITMS), verifying data accuracy, and processing changes as needed.
  • Entering and tracking timekeeping data in ATAAPS and assisting with troubleshooting and reporting.
  • Recording and distributing meeting minutes using government-provided templates.
  • Supporting phone, email, and general office communications.
  • Providing on-site logistics support for CCCD training courses, which includes coordinating lunch and mailing materials.
  • Keeping track of office supply inventories and assisting in preparing purchase orders.
Salary: 40,000-50,000

Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Professional communication skills and a proactive, dependable work style
  • Experience working on a government installation or in a military environment strongly desired
