- High School Diploma/ GED
- 1-2 years min. experience in office environment
- Proficiency with various software and productivity tools (MS Office applications, Adobe, copier, scanner, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Texas State enterprise software (i.e., SAP , Oracle, Banner, etc.).
- Website development and maintenance.
- Knowledge of and experience supporting academic department
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
- Experience in an administrative office setting.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty and students.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and implement events.
Job Description
The Administrative Assistant II provides administrative and general clerical support to the management and staff within the Chemistry & Biochemistry Department.
Job Duties
- Support to the doctoral and masters programs.
- Provide support to students, faculty and staff.
- Plan events.
- Scheduling classes and managing overrides.
- Organize prospective student visits, assist program directors & advisors with managing student data.
- Update brochures and website.
- Perform other short-term projects as assigned by program staff, departmental management and staff.
