Position Summary:The Administrative Assistant II at the General Accounting Office (GAO) is responsible for managing front desk operations, handling incoming and outgoing mail, and managing phone and visitor inquiries. This position is crucial in supporting the GAO's operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities: - Provide GAO front desk coverage, routing an average of 100+ calls per week.
- Process 200+ pieces of mail daily, including opening, date stamping, and rerouting.
- Handle confidential court documents for payroll, including date stamping and distribution.
- Direct division visitors, including attendees of AFIS training.
- Prepare an average of 2,000 warrants per day for US Mail distribution.
- Distribute warrants to an average of 15 agencies daily.
- Reconcile daily payroll handwrites and maintain a pickup tracking spreadsheet.
- Prepare returned warrants for redistribution.
- Maintain AMS metrics, including tracking and huddle board postings.
- Conduct self-training, scan and shred confidential documents, and manage surplus preparations.
- Train others on support functions and distribute supplies and equipment.
- Assist with other administrative duties.
- Provide backup for reconciling daily vendor warrants and biweekly payroll.

Experience Required: - 2 years of client-facing experience.
- Front desk experience.
Education Required: - High School Diploma.
- An Associate or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
