Hourly Range: $20.00-23.00

Reporting to the Plant Manager of Verdi Facility, the administrative assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Plant Manager and Human Resources department. The incumbent is expected to provide a high level of professional support, must work effectively and cooperatively with fellow employees, peers from other teams and/or parts of the organization and external customers.

As a key member of Weber Metals your duties include but are not limited to:

Human Resources:

• Assist with the recruitment process, including attending recruitment events and managing onsite applicants.

• Schedule interviews for walk-in candidates.

• Prepare new hire paperwork and onboarding materials in conjunction with the HR Generalist.

• Coordinate new employee orientations and collecting paperwork.

• Coordinate initial new employee PPE purchase such as safety shoes, uniforms, etc.

• Organization support of training including forklift, overhead crane, etc.

• Maintain currency on PPE requirements such as safety shoes, uniforms, etc.

General Operations Administration:

• Arrange meals, meeting room set-up, preparation and distribution of meeting materials for onsite meetings.

• Support for any hospitality needs for onsite meetings/visitors.

• Order food and supplies.

• Coordinate Verdi specific social activities.

• Parts and supplies emergency pickup.

• Pickup and drop-off mail.

• Manage outgoing shipments (FedEx, UPS, USPS).

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and the Internet

• Must be well organized and capable of taking initiative and prioritizing and structuring tasks and information

• Must exhibit mature and independent judgment and flexibility and be highly responsive to emergent needs generated by day-to-day activities of the group

• Must have excellent verbal, written and communication skills

• Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

• 0-1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
