The California Department of Justice is hiring an experienced Administrative Assistant I.

Consider joining the Public Rights Division team at the California Department of Justice in a role supporting the Chief Assistant Attorney General, who oversees the legal work of twelve sections. This role is one of two Administrative Assistants supporting the Chief Assistant Attorney General of the Public Rights Division. Under the general direction of the Chief Advisor for the division, you will perform a variety of administrative and executive level support duties that require independence, analysis, initiative, knowledge of departmental policies, good judgment, tact, diplomacy, and a thorough knowledge of modern office methods.

Specific duties include, without limitation: calendaring, monitoring, evaluating and research; assisting the Chief Assistant in interpreting and transmitting necessary directives both orally and in writing to the Public Rights Division team; preparing materials and/or correspondence in response to written and verbal inquiries for the Chief Assistant's signature. You will also complete special projects for the Chief Assistant that require problem identification, collection, evaluation and analysis of data, and the development of solutions. This position interacts with executive level staff, Senior Assistant Attorneys General, other agency staff, and division personnel, and advises staff as needed.

Monthly Salary: $4,868.00 - 6,093.00
