THE POSITION

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is currently looking for a committed Administrative Assistant 1 to support the scientists dedicated to investigating the state's water, energy, and mineral assets. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will primarily be responsible for offering administrative assistance to the Bureau of Forestry's Rural and Community Forestry Section, particularly concentrating on the Urban and Community Forestry program. Your duties will include managing administrative and financial tasks, as well as overseeing the administration, tracking, documentation, and submission of reimbursements related to procurements and purchases.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Overtime: Rarely; could be required to work with partners and field staff
  • Travel: As required to attend local and statewide programs/trainings
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, at supervisors approval. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
