Advertised Job Summary
The Administrative and Enrollment Assistant is a professional position in the Education Abroad Office of Global Carolina that serves as the first point-of-contact for a large clientele of students, family members, faculty, staff, and administrators regarding all aspects of education abroad. The Administrative and Enrollment Assistant handles the administrative needs of the EAO and ensures the effectiveness of daily operations of the EAO front desk, including scheduling, customer service, data entry, documentation, records management, and various other tasks and projects. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Enrollment and Operations, the Administrative and Enrollment Assistant completes initial application approvals for education abroad applicants.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Customer Service: Maintains the primary presence at the EAO front desk. Responsible for handling telephone calls, general email inquiries, walk-in traffic, scheduling student appointments, and assisting students as well as office staff. Develops and maintains a working knowledge of education abroad procedures and handles routine inquiries from students, parents, faculty, and staff, escalating them to the appropriate staff as needed.
Administrative Support: Provides administrative support for education abroad applicants. Assists EAO staff with related administrative duties, such as predeparture orientation, workshops, and application processes. Maintains space reservations for events. Assists other staff with other projects and tasks as assigned.
Enrollment Support: Under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Enrollment and Operations, processes application approvals in education abroad database and assists with follow-up communications with students.
Qualifications
Typically requires a high school diploma. Requires no prior work experience.
