About the Role

The Intern is an integral part of Latham's Office Administration team. This role will be responsible for supporting all basic activities associated with the day-to-day operations of the team, while providing administrative support relevant to the departments and assisting with all tasks under the Director of Administration. This role will be located in our Washington D.C. office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:
  • Participating in general business skills training and department-specific training led by a manager, supervisor, or team member
  • Shadowing junior members of the department to gain exposure and insight into day-to-day tasks and responsibilities within the respective department
  • Reviewing, processing, and auditing reports
  • Utilizing programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or Access to file and track department records, and create materials as requested
  • Organizing and filing department-specific materials
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

  • Possess well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Display the organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines

  • Currently an enrolled student

Pay Range
