An opportunity has arisen for the post of Admin Services Manager for General & Vascular Surgery, following the promotion of the previous post holder.
You will play a vital part in the delivery of surgical care for the patients of Tayside. The Care Group is responsible for organising all unscheduled surgical care, as well as extensive outpatient care and elective operations. Through our administrative teams, we are continually seeking to improve the quality of patient experience, safe and rapid clinical communication, efficient use of clinical time and optimisation of technology. You will be at the heart of delivering vital services, playing a key role in the leadership of the Care Group and fostering an improvement culture.
Your core duties will be:
- To manage and develop the administrative and clerical staff within the Clinical Care Group
- To manage the budget for all administrative staff within the Clinical Care Group and monitor any additional work agreed with medical staff.
- To plan, review and develop administrative services within the Clinical Care Group
- To ensure that patient information is received timeously by GP's and other Multidisciplinary NHS staff
- To manage and develop administrative protocols, procedures and standards
- To co-ordinate the management of complaints within the department
- To manage medical rota production (through rota co-ordinator) and to co-ordinate clinical training events, governance meetings etc.
- To provide operational management of the non-clinical accommodation occupied by the Clinical Care Group including the organisation of estates work.
- To lead and co-ordinate the management of Health & Safety within the Clinical Care Group
