Job description Administrative Assistant Melmark Overview Melmark is a nonprofit organization providing clinically sophisticated evidence-based special education, residential, vocational, and therapeutic services for children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, medical complexities, and other neurological and genetic disorders.
Administrative Assistant Overview The Administrative Assistant maintains support to the Senior Director of School Services relating to correspondence, filing, phone, mail services, typing, editing, coordinating special events, assisting in projects related to clinical, school, residential and professional development services.
Administrative Assistant Schedule and Salary Information - Day time hours- 8-4:30pm M-F
- Andover MA
- Pay range $23-26 per hour
Administrative Assistant Requirements - Bachelor's Degree preferred; high school diploma required
- Valid US driver's license and minimum age of 21
- Strong interpersonal-works cooperatively with all members of the multidisciplinary team (Nursing Services, Vocational Services, Clinical Services, Residential Staff, Allied Health Services).
- Requires basic computer skills (proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Microsoft Outlook) and exceptional organizational skills.
- Two to five years of office support
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities • Provides copying/faxing support, correspondence and as needed.
• Distributes school notification mail for upcoming meetings and evaluations (consents) to appropriate parties.
• Tracks weekly Residential Transport data and emails results to all Directors no later than the following Monday morning by 9am.
• Provides copying/faxing support, correspondence and as needed.
• Promotes safety of self and individuals through adherence of safety policies which may include body positioning, physical management techniques, Universal precautions and proper lifting of Individuals.
