Position Summary:

The School of Business and Entrepreneurship at North Central College invites applications for an adjunct pool in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship. Adjunct faculty are appointed on a course-by-course basis. This posting is ongoing to develop a qualified pool of candidates. The department needs vary from semester to semester.

Courses are offered in Accounting, Business, Business Law, Business Statistics, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Management, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Leadership.

Undergraduate courses are delivered primarily in-person across a 16-week semester (fall or spring) with a limited number of online (synchronous or asynchronous courses). Graduate courses in the MBA program are delivered online asynchronous format in 6 or 8 weeks. The adjunct faculty role requires someone who can deliver course content, contribute to the creation of assignments and other assessments, evaluate and grade student work, and hold office hours to assist students.

Minimum qualifications include a graduate degree in the field related to teaching such as an MBA or Master's Degree and meet the qualification requirements for AACSB including recent work experience in the discipline or other professional engagement.

Preferred qualifications included college-level teaching experience or a doctoral degree. Successful candidates will have demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.

The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and class credit hours.
