Job SummaryThe Radiologic Technology Adjunct Faculty member is responsible for providing high-quality instruction within the Radiologic Technology (RADT) program. This position involves teaching didactic, laboratory, and clinical courses assessing student progress, and fostering a supportive learning environment that prepares students for professional careers in radiologic technology. Essential Functions
Teach assigned courses in the Radiologic Technology program, which may include lectures, lab instruction, and clinical education.Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and instructional materials in alignment with program curriculum and accreditation standards.Assess and evaluate student performance using a variety of assessment methods to ensure competency development.Supervise students in clinical settings, providing guidance and evaluation in real-world radiologic procedures.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, accreditation requirements, and best practices in radiologic technology education.Utilize instructional technologies and learning management systems to enhance student learning.Collaborate with faculty, clinical affiliates, and program leadership to ensure program effectiveness and continuous improvement.Advise and mentor students, offering academic and professional guidance.Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and institutional activities as available.Ensure compliance with institutional policies and accreditation standards, including those set by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Possess a minimum of a Associate's degree from an accredited institution in Radiologic Technology Program;Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT);Two (2) years of recent clinical experience in radiologic technology;Have experience teaching and/or precepting RADT students;Ability to connect and build relationships with students and colleagues from various ethnicities, ages, backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities;Computer competency to include Microsoft Office Suites applications; The gross and fine motor skills required to assist students and providing safe effective radiologic imaging services; The physical endurance and ability to work in a clinical setting with students for 4-6 hours; The physical endurance and strength sufficient to assist students with providing radiologic imaging services; andCurrently hold an unencumbered Radiologic Technologist license in WA state.Preferred QualificationBachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field from an accredited institution;Have experience with accreditation standards (JRCERT, CAHEEP);Prior classroom and clinical teaching experience in a community college setting; andExperience with curriculum development and Canvas LMS.Additional Information

Faculty members must submit official, unopened transcripts to the Human Resources department within 30 days of their employment.

This is an adjunct faculty position contracted on a quarterly basis. Placement on the faculty salary schedule will be commensurate with educational background and experience. The salary listed is a range based on per quarter. A collective bargaining agreement exists, and this position is covered by the Association for Higher Education (AHE). Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the department. Evening and/or weekend classes, instruction at satellite Olympic College campuses, and off-campus assignments including travel to clinical sites may be a part of the instructional load.

Adjunct positions at the college are open continuously and reviewed on a quarter-by-quarter basis. Individuals who apply to the applicant pool are considered active for a period of 12 months from the application date and may be contacted when vacancies occur. Adjuncts are not eligible for benefits upon their initial hire, Adjunct faculty must work 50 percent of a full-time load for two consecutive quarters to become eligible. Additional hours earned at other SBCTC colleges may count towards this requirement. The list of benefits that may be available after is as follows.
