Job Title: Actuarial Developer

Introduction: We are seeking an Actuarial Developer with strong technical skills and actuarial knowledge to join our dynamic team. As an Actuarial Developer, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing actuarial models, working closely with our actuarial, data science, and software development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain actuarial models and software tools for financial risk analysis and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize modeling of financial instruments, stochastic simulations, and optimization algorithms.
  • Apply actuarial methods to solve complex problems and support financial accounting and risk management processes.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure the quality and accuracy of actuarial models and software.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective and efficient software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to actuarial modeling, software functionality, and performance.
  • Stay updated with advancements in actuarial techniques, software development practices, and industry trends.
  • Support the continuous improvement of software development processes, version control systems, and DevOps pipelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Language Proficiency: Spoken and written fluency in English.

Desired Experience:

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (such as Julia, Python, C , JavaScript) with experience in software development.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Alibaba Cloud.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps deployment pipelines.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
  • Understanding of software quality assurance, including test planning, test execution, and defect tracking.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an actuarial or finance-related role.
  • Familiarity with actuarial and financial modeling platforms.
  • Experience in developing or maintaining financial systems or applications.
