Reports To: Activity Barn Supervisor and Activity Barn Manager

Job Summary/Essential Functions:

The Activity Barn, (AB), Yoga Instructor will provide members and guests with a variety of yoga and pilates practices. The AB Yoga instructor is responsible for performing poses in precise alignment, using the correct terminology, and safely guiding members and guest through the flow of practice. This is a member-facing role with a high level of hospitality required, strong group management skills, and strong organizational skills.

Job Duties:
  • Sets up the Activity Barn with supplies needed for class.
  • Conducts weekly Yoga and Pilates programs.
  • Greets members and their guests upon arrival, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Visually assess students to determine their level of practice.
  • Demonstrates practice and techniques.
  • Transforms energy during the warm-up, build-up, and cool down stages.
  • Offers training recommendations and feedback to improve individual's practice.
  • Maintains a safety mindset in activities.
  • Adapts to changing needs and requests.
  • Communicates consistently with teammates and members.
  • Offers detailed information about club amenities, services, and activities.
  • Anticipates and responds to members' requests and inquires with promptness and professionalism.
  • Maintains strong relationships with members to foster a sense of community and belonging.
  • Handles member feedback and complaints with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Ensures that all areas are clean and well maintained.
  • Adheres to health and safety regulations and club policies.
  • Performs other duties and supports other departments as needed.
Licenses and Special Requirements:
  • Yoga Instructor Certification
  • 100 hours of experience
  • CPR/ First Aid
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Occasionally exposed to outdoor environment.
  • Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions.
  • Must be able to handle frequent repetitive motions, including but not limited to bending, squatting, stooping, pulling, climbing, twisting.
  • Must be able to stand and move around for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able and willing to meet the physical demands of the position.
Classification: part-time, seasonal, exempt

Education/Experience:
  • Preferred experience working at a yoga studio.
  • Preferred knowledge of mindful meditation, Chakra System, holistic healthcare.
  • Personal recreation and leisure activity driven.
