We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our dynamic team at our skilled nursing facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in planning and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
  • Support residents in participating in activities, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Maintain an organized schedule of activities and encourage resident involvement.
  • Provide transportation and assistance during off-site events and outings.
  • Document and report resident participation and feedback on activities.
  • Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to individualize activity programs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for all activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Direct patient care experience for 1 year is a must
  • Healthcare experience in long term care, skilled nursing facility, or senior care is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate nature with a desire to work with the elderly population.
  • Basic knowledge of recreational activities suited for seniors.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
