We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our dynamic team at our skilled nursing facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in planning and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
- Support residents in participating in activities, ensuring their needs are met.
- Maintain an organized schedule of activities and encourage resident involvement.
- Provide transportation and assistance during off-site events and outings.
- Document and report resident participation and feedback on activities.
- Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to individualize activity programs.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for all activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Direct patient care experience for 1 year is a must
- Healthcare experience in long term care, skilled nursing facility, or senior care is a must.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate nature with a desire to work with the elderly population.
- Basic knowledge of recreational activities suited for seniors.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
