Salary: starting at $22.00/hour Sign-on Bonus included
Position Type: Full time non-exempt, 40 hours/week
Shifts available: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm flexible availability to attend resident events outside of scheduled hours as needed (overtime or flex day eligible)

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Activities Manager to lead the design and delivery of life-enriching programs across our community. In this role, you will plan, implement, and oversee a diverse calendar of events that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being. You'll supervise activity staff and collaborate closely with nursing, dining, and other departments to ensure every resident has the opportunity to live with purpose and joy.
What you will do:
- Develop, implement, and facilitate a comprehensive activity curriculum and calendar for Assisted Living, Memory Care, Health Center that promotes the 8 dimensions of wellness.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all community outings, including safely operating a 14-passenger van.
- Evaluate programs effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and adapt programming to maximum resident engagement, participation and satisfaction.
- Create and maintain partnerships with local organizations, volunteers, performers, and other resources to enhance the activity program.
- Build strong relationships with residents and families, attend and participate in care conferences, incorporate feedback into programs, and manage resident communications.
- Assist the Director of Community Life Services with hiring, training, meetings, and team development; lead the activities team to foster growth, collaboration, and a positive work environment.
- Audit and ensure completion and accurate documentation of PointClickCare (PCC), care plans, weekly progress notes, UDA/MDS, Resident Council notes, and participant trackers.
- Collaborate closely with the nursing team and other departments to ensure residents' needs are fully met.
- Maintain inventory and oversee supply orders to support cost-effective programming. Inspect equipment to determine repair and maintenance needs as well as cleanliness of activity areas.
- Clearly explain the purpose and goals of activity programs to staff, volunteers, residents, and families to ensure understanding and engagement.
What you will bring:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior experience in a senior living or long-term care activity role strongly preferred
- Minimum of one year in a leadership/management role
- Valid driver's license with ability to operate a 14-passenger bus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to develop, implement, and refine a structured activities playbook
- Ability to inspire a team, try new ideas, and discontinue activities that are no longer effective
- Experience with Microsoft Office; PCC experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 250 lbs in wheelchairs; must be comfortable with standard mobility and activity-related tasks
- Sound judgment, flexibility, and a professional, polished demeanor
