Activities Assistant

Pay rate up to $16.80/hour

UMC is currently seeking a Activities Assistant for The Shores, our Senior Care Community located in Ocean City, NJ within picturesque Cape May County.

Requirements for an Activities Assistant:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid CNA license in the state of New Jersey
  • One year general work experience
Responsibilities for an Activities Assistant:
  • Participates in the scheduling of activities and programs within the community, communicates those with residents, encourages participation and participates in assigned programming. Conducts assigned programs including 1 to 1 visits. Assists with field trips and outings.
  • Transports residents to and from planned activities within or external to community.
  • Maintains resident's attendance. Assists with documentation- daily attendance records and 1 to 1 records.
  • Meets with outside local community groups to plan joint projects which benefit community residents as instructed.
  • Assures supplies are available for various activities/programs.
  • Gives input to residents care planning- assessments, care plan goals and approaches and progress notes.
