Activities Assistantto join our team. In this role, you'll help enrich the lives of our residents by supporting their emotional, social, and recreational needs in a meaningful way.
Position Details: - Shift: Full-time, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with rotating weekend shifts (every other weekend) and holiday coverage.
- Pay Rate: $14/hour.
Key Responsibilities: - Facilitate activities that promote entertainment, social engagement, creativity, and relaxation, as guided by the Activities Director.
- Assist residents with daily tasks such as writing letters, making phone calls, or registering to vote.
- Prepare and distribute activity materials, including craft supplies and other resources, while supervising resident participation.
- Escort residents to and from activities and appointments, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
- Oversee safety protocols, including operating van electric lifts and securing safety belts or harnesses.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity progress.
- Support other facility initiatives such as mail delivery, newsletter preparation, fundraising events, and P.A. system announcements.
Qualifications: - Required:
- Valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Preferred:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals, preferably in a long-term care setting.
