As an Activities Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational activities for our residents. You will play a vital role in creating a lively and engaging atmosphere that promotes physical, social, and emotional well-being among the residents.

Activities Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Assist with planning and conducting recreational activities that meet the needs and interests of the residents, including games, music, crafts, and other social events.

Engage with the residents to provide social support and promote positive relationships among them.

Encourage resident participation in activities and ensure that activities are accessible to all residents, regardless of ability.

Assist with setting up and cleaning up activity areas, as well as ensuring that all equipment and supplies are maintained in good condition.

Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities.

Other duties as assigned by the Activities Director.

Activities Assistant Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience working in a recreational or social setting with older adults preferred.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain a positive and cheerful attitude.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
