Job Description Life Enrichment Assistants are responsible for facilitating the planned activities in for our assisted and independent living residents. This involves everything from leading exercise classes and sing-alongs to brain power activities, sports and art classes and reading. Must be flexible, dependable, work well under pressure and be a self-starter.
Responsibilities - Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activity programs of this community
- Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement so that facility activities and resident progress are evaluated
- Involve the resident/family in planning activity programs when possible
- Safely transport senior residents to doctors appointments and other places in a timely and disciplined manner.
- Load and unload wheelchairs and walkers from vehicle. Help residents into car or non-CDL bus and help residents out to their appointments and activities.
Qualifications - Must be flexible, dependable, work well under pressure and be a self-starter
- Able to move at least 50 pounds, including tables and chair on a regular basis
- Valid drivers license and clean driving report.
- CPR certified
- Ability to plan and communicate in both written and spoken English
