This position presents a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on mission success and the advancement of space operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting government acquisition efforts by conducting in-depth market research, developing acquisition strategies, and assisting in the preparation of request for proposal (RFP) documents. As a trusted advisor in the acquisition process, you will help guide complex procurement efforts, contributing to the successful execution of USSF programs and long-term strategic goals Skills / Experience Required Acquisition Specialist L3 Skills and Experience: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance Over 10 years of hands-on DoD experience in contracts and subcontracts, with comprehensive involvement across all phases of acquisition Recognized industry leader with strong analytical skills and a proven track record of success in complex acquisition environments Extensive expertise across the full lifecycle of Air Force and Space Force acquisition, including acquisition strategy development, market research, evaluation criteria, contract requirements, source selection, cost-schedule-performance integration, and risk management Solid understanding of Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes Experienced in product development and science & technology projects, with a background supporting program offices or similar environments Demonstrated ability to work independently, while effectively collaborating with team members and senior leadership with minimal oversight Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks and challenges Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, complemented by proven leadership capabilities and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, including senior and executive-level defense leadership Clear understanding of U.S. Space Force organizations, their mission objectives, and the needs of key stakeholders and customers Education / Certifications Acquisition Specialist L3 Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required Master's degree in a related field is strongly desired Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification in Program Management or related functional areas (strongly desired) Project Management Professional certification (desired) Benefits Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Flexible Spending Accounts 401(k) PTO Paid Paternal leave Tuition reimbursement Paid federal holidays Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen.
