Acquisition Specialist supporting the BMO office at RTS (Reagan Test Site), as part of the SMDC Tech Center. The acquisition analyst will perform a variety of roles including: Provides acquisition strategy development and analysis during pre-solicitation through contract execution
Provides guidance on regulatory requirements
Assist in developing government Contract Requirement Packages
Analyzes contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies and business unit procedure
Supports the development and/or review of acquisition and program management documentation, briefings and white papers
Assist the Government in conducting market research
Assists with the development of Statements of Work/ Performance Work Statements, CDRLs, source selection plans, determinations and findings, simplified acquisition management plans, and other contract related documentation
Provides review and comment on contractor technical evaluations and/or independent government estimates
Assists with the establishment of long-range procurement objectives for requirements to be executed each fiscal year
Utilize independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload in a high, up-tempo, and detail-oriented work environment
Participates in definition of assignments, including identification of work to be done and deadlines for completion; plans and organizes the work; interprets regulations; and coordinates with others as necessary. Completed work is generally reviewed by the supervisor for compatibility with goals and for effectiveness in meeting objectives.
Assist with the management of property delivery and transfer on FAR based and OTA contracts.
Participate in Purchasing and tracking hardware and services on behalf of the customer.
Up to 10% TDY may be required. Required Skills: Bachelor's Degree
Active Security Clearance
Strong communications and analytical skills, be a self-starter, and detail oriented Required Experience: Experience with USG Contracts
Experience with DoD business protocols Desired Qualifications: Previous Military or Civilian experience as a COR
DoD Acquisition Workforce Certification Level III
Experience supporting acquisition programs in a Project Office, in the Army Contracting Command, or a similar capacity
Previous experience in R&D, a test community, or with an Other Transaction Authority is preferred
Experience with the FAR/DFAR and DoD Directive 5000 series EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled
