Accounts Receivable Specialist

Join a mission-driven nonprofit as an Accounts Receivable Lead. Our client, a respected nonprofit providing essential community services is seeking a hands-on A/R professional to take ownership of billing and collections processes. This is ideal for someone with strong Medicaid and managed care billing experience who's ready to step into a lead role, guide a team, and drive improvements in finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise billing operations, claim submissions, and verifications
Analyze and resolve billing variances; propose corrective actions
Manage collection processes and support delinquency goals
Oversee rate updates and billing setup for new/existing programs
Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to resolve outstanding accounts
Maintain accurate records and prepare A/R-related reports
Support month-end closings, journal entries, and reconciliations
Provide training to team members and ensure adherence to best practices

What We're Looking For:
Associate's degree OR high school diploma with 5+ years of billing/collections experience
Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Managed Care, and Commercial billing
Proficiency in billing software, Microsoft Excel, and Word
Strong communication skills and ability to take initiative and guide processes
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
