Job Summary:

KOST USA is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. We are looking for a team-oriented, punctual, professional, and organized individual who enjoys detailed work and a fast-paced environment. This position is critical to our operation and is an integral part of the Finance team.


The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for reporting and resolving open receivables, customer set ups, applying cash, providing credit reports, and compiling various reports.


In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • New customer account setup
  • Assessing and monitoring credit risks associated to customers
  • Utilizing various customer web portals to invoice, file disputes and follow the status of invoices in-process
  • Follow-up with customers on overdue payments
  • Monitoring and managing blocked orders
  • Applying cash received daily to the appropriate customer accounts and invoices
  • Processing customer billings on a daily basis
  • Reconciling, monitoring and clearing deductions
  • Monitoring the receivables group mailbox
  • Account reconciliations
  • Fostering strong relationships with Sales and Customer Service departments to resolve collection issues
  • Driving action to achieve financial targets set by the Group Leader such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
  • Supporting the Assistant Controller in projects oriented towards process improvements
  • Performing miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as defined by the Assistant Controller

Required Experience:

  • An Associates degree and 3-5 years of related work experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Experience working with a wide range of customers (large and small, public and private) a plus.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and collaborates well across internal team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic accounting, financial terminology, and making journal entries
  • Familiarity with technology suites such as Microsoft Office suite and accounting software. A working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX (or Great Plains) accounting software is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Excel. Experience with pivot tables, VLookup, and simple formulas
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize workload, and multi-task while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
