Location: Appleton, WI

Contract Duration: 9-12 months, with potential for extension or direct hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st shift (fully onsite)

Compensation: $18-$19/hour, with optional benefits during the contract period

Onboarding Requirements: Background check and drug screening

Job Summary

The Finance Support Specialist Associate will deliver accounting and finance services aligned with the organization's business objectives. Primary responsibilities include processing business transactions in areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit management, expense reports, fixed assets, payroll, or treasury. The role emphasizes superior customer service to both internal and external stakeholders and involves preparing transaction processing reports to communicate critical information to management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Process business transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain records, forms, and files in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide assistance to internal and external customers by addressing questions and inquiries related to business transaction processing.
  • Execute balancing and reconciliation procedures to ensure proper transaction recording.
  • Prepare accurate and timely transaction processing reports for internal management and external reporting purposes.
  • Maintain and update standard work instructions for documenting business transaction processes.
  • Apply continuous improvement principles and participate in process analysis and improvement projects.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with basic financial and accounting principles.
  • Basic understanding of accounting, payroll, or cash application processes.
