Accounts Payable Specialist - Sustainable Technology Company.

A revolutionary company in the sustainability space is seeking to hire their first AP Specialist to work in a high-volume environment on a team of 8 professionals within AP. The company provides custom services to clients including corporations, hotels, hospitals, restaurants and more to develop tailored strategies for sustainability.
The role is based out of their office in their downtown 3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Review and communicate with vendors to rectify any discrepancies in payment amounts
- Challenge and resolve any unauthorized charges from vendors in a prompt manner
- Conduct thorough research on complex billing discrepancies and engage in effective communication with vendors to achieve comprehensive resolutions
- Analyze and successfully resolve any halting of service issues caused by non-payment
- Prepare detailed reports for clients with outstanding accounts and provide actionable steps for resolving overdue items
- Address all financial matters associated with customer payments and account management
- Facilitate negotiations to ensure accurate debits/credits and maintain current accounts
- Collaborate closely with the reconciliation team to investigate and resolve billing issues pertaining to client accounts and vendor relationships
Qualifications:
- Capable of handling customer and vendor concerns with a high level of professionalism
- Demonstrates exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assist in mitigating vendor related issues
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in utilizing the Accounting System QuickBooks (bonus)
Base Salary: $60,000- $70,000
