A global manufacturer and leading distributor is seeking a detail- oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Accounting department. The ideal candidate will manage full-cycle accounts payable including receivables, performing general ledger account analysis, and reconciling bank statements while ensuring a smooth month-end close. This candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding in compliance with company policies.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders, reviewing quantities, pricing, and terms for accuracy.
  • Prepare and process payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments, while adhering to payment schedules.
  • Assist with month-end closing by reconciling accounts payable balances and preparing accruals.
  • Manage vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Process and distribute patient billing invoices via electronic portals or email.
  • Assist in financial reporting, running reconciliation reports, and supporting year-end audit activities.
  • Review, process, and reconcile employee expense reports in compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare financial reports and Excel spreadsheets to support management, operations, and finance teams.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an accounting or accounts payable role.
  • Experience with Sage ERP systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
