Vaco is partnering with a dynamic organization in Irvine to find a skilled
Accounts Payable Manager. This hybrid role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong foundation in GAAP, process improvement, and managing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and 1099 reporting.
Manage vendor onboarding, reconciliations, disbursements, and corporate card programs.
Oversee and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and SOX compliance.
Own the Travel & Expense Policy and drive automation initiatives with business analysts.
Support month-end close and reporting processes; maintain disbursement budgets.
Provide leadership, training, and development to AP staff; set goals and monitor performance.
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, procurement, and operations teams.
Requirements:
Proven experience managing accounts payable teams and operations.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and accounting policies.
Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).
Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and drive process improvements.
