Vaco is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a top client in Phoenix, AZ. This Accounts Payable Specialist must have experience processing high volume invoices and state sales tax experience. This is a hybrid position paying up to $21 per hour. Our client is headquartered in Mesa, growing rapidly, and is known for an excellent employee-centric culture.
Responsibilities: - Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and promptly
- Completing all weekly and monthly payment runs in a timely and accurate manner.
- Dealing with remittances
- Sorting, three-company matching, coding, and obtaining approvals for payment.
- Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, statements, etc.
- Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Maintaining historical records
- Paying vendors by scheduling and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit.
- Responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance
- Sales tax payable
- Around 200 invoices a month with multiple line entries.
Qualifications:- 1+ year of accounts payable
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and general accounting procedures
- Experience with large ERP preferred
- Good communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management
- High ethical and professional
- Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team
