Purpose

This is an in-office, non-remote position.
Compensation: $21.95+ depending on experience.
Yearly ROA Bonus and Yearly Profit-Sharing Bonus.

Provide clerical and data entry assistance primarily for the Accounts Payable department as well as administrative assistant to other internal departments.

Basic Job Functions:
  • Adhere to all Nucor safety programs and standards.
  • Consistently demonstrate behavior aligned with Nucor's vision and values.
  • Process and code invoices for submission to the Accounts Payable department.
  • Maintain and update a shared database for all purchase order invoices.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Reconcile paid invoices with proof of delivery and shipment confirmation documents.
  • Organize and maintain paid invoice records; review and reconcile monthly vendor statements.
  • Process and coordinate freight invoices.
  • Set up new vendors in the Accounts Payable system.
  • Prepare and submit Certificates of Compliance, Material Certifications, and Mill Certifications.
  • Support the Safety Coordinator by scheduling training and distributing updated safety policies and procedures to the team.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, scheduling drug and alcohol screenings, and coordinating hiring paperwork.
  • Distribute HR documents and communicate updated company policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding payroll, benefits, and health insurance questions.
  • Assist with end of month processes.
  • Support regional work tracking by monitoring and updating a shared Excel document.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED or local/state equivalent
  • Two to three years of prior experience in accounts payable or equivalent work history
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry and use of spreadsheet formulas.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative working style.
