Our client is a leading hospitality provider with 30 locations across all the North and South America. This role is part of Shared Service Center located in Brickell area of Miami. This is a 6- month contract with possibility to go permanent.
An Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR) Manager oversees the financial transactions of an organization, managing both the payables (outgoing payments) and receivables (incoming payments) functions. This involves supervising staff, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and coordinating with vendors and clients. The manager also designs and implements policies, audits processes, and ensures compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership: Supervise and train staff, manage workloads, and ensure team performance.
- Invoice Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, including verifying charges and payment terms.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor account aging reports, identify delinquent accounts, and implement collection strategies.
- Vendor/Client Relationships: Maintain relationships with vendors and clients to resolve payment issues and ensure smooth transactions.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant regulations.
- System Development: Design and implement standard procedures for AP/AR operations.
- Auditing and Improvement: Audit existing processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and increased efficiency.
- Reporting: Prepare reports on accounts payable and receivable activities, including aged receivables and payables,
- Budgeting: Monitor and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Personnel Management: May be involved in hiring, firing, and promoting staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- LATAM and Domestic Experience
- Bilingual Spanish
- 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
- Leadership experience
- Shared Service experience
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and resolve problems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team in a fast-paced environment
