We re hiring for an Accounts Assistant to join a thriving and ambitious business in Glossop, supporting both the sales and purchase ledger functions.
Your work will directly contribute to the company s cash flow, supplier relationships, and overall financial health.

What will you be doing as an Accounts Assistant?
- Processing and reconciling customer and supplier payments
- Managing purchase and sales ledger entries and records
- Matching purchase orders with invoices and delivery notes
- Handling credit notes, debit notes, and customer refunds
- Preparing and executing payment runs
- Liaising with customers and suppliers regarding queries and account updates
- Supporting the preparation of monthly accounts and financial reporting
- Managing regular bank and stock reconciliations
- Assisting the wider finance team with administrative duties and audit preparation
What do you need?
- Previous experience in either a sales ledger, purchase ledger or broader accounts role
- Experience working in a supply chain, wholesale, or manufacturing environment (desirable)
- Familiarity with Sage (desirable)
- AAT qualification (desirable)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a busy workload
