Focus Search LLC is recruiting for an Accounting Supervisor for a Nonprofit organization with a local focus, based in Tacoma. This position oversees a small team of accountants and plays a key role in leading the financial close and reporting, managing payroll, supporting the budgeting process, ensuring compliance with audits and federal/state reporting (e.g., Form 990, SEFA, WBARS), and maintaining strong internal controls. The role requires excellent leadership, analytical, and organizational skills, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration across departments. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA license preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory accounting experience
- Payroll processing experience required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting and grant management preferred
- Good communication and team leadership skills
