  • Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor cash flow, ensure timely payments, and manage organizational budgets.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with organizational policies and best practices.
  • Lead the preparation for annual audits and coordinate the submission of all required tax filings (e.g., Form 990).
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, grant reporting requirements, and all federal, state, and local regulations and tax laws.
  • Audit Payroll data.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
  • Strong command of GAAP and nonprofit financial reporting practices.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and other standard accounting tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines without supervision.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly and effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • CPA certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing grant funding, restricted donations, and complex reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit audit processes and government compliance standards.
  • Previous experience in a small or mid-sized nonprofit environment is a plus.
