Global Energy company is looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor for their External Reporting team. They are looking for someone who is innovative and interested in growth opportunities within a multinational organization. This position will work closely with the Investor Relations department to support the preparation of earnings releases.
The responsibilities of the Accounting Supervisor are as follows:
- Supervise a group of accountants including monitoring of performance and development objectives, conducting regular performance review discussions, and providing coaching and training to staff.
- Review analyses, schedules, and data for the Company's SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, utilizing SEC filing software and at times prepare related schedules and workpapers to meet strict deadlines.
- Oversee team's progress over the Company's Earnings Release and Call Script on a quarterly basis by providing thorough review and communication with team members, upper management, and Investor Relations department.
- Monitor and research new GAAP and SEC pronouncements, perform assessments of their impact and assist in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements in the financial reporting process.
- Perform, research, and resolve activities involving complex accounting reports with associated accounting analysis and related internal controls.
- Create, update, and/or review supporting schedules for the preparation of financial statement footnotes and disclosures.
- Review disclosure checklists under generally accepted accounting principles in the United States (GAAP) and other applicable standards, such as MD&A.
- Assist in the review of Company's Proxy and other public presentations such as press releases and investor presentations.
- Coordinate audit requests with external and internal auditors.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum of 7 years' experience in accounting. CPA license or working toward certification is required and SAP experience is a preference.
