Collections Manager
About the Company and the Collections Manager Position: A growing law firm in downtown Cleveland is seeking an experienced Collections Manager to join their team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in legal accounting, who is eager to oversee daily accounting operations, manage a team, and ensure compliance with legal industry regulations. You will report directly to the Controller and work within a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities of the Collections Manager: -
Lead and support the accounting team in various financial processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and finance

Oversee the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations

Work directly with attorneys and clients to ensure timely collections of outstanding receivables

Collaborate with senior management to implement and refine financial processes that enhance operational efficiency and control

Develop and maintain internal accounting policies and procedures to ensure best practices are followed

Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members to foster professional development and improve performance
Preferred Qualifications of the Collections Manager: -
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a professional services firm

Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
Salary and Benefits: -
Location: Downtown Cleveland

Pay range: $75,000 - $90,000 per year based on experience
