About the Role

Do you love numbers, organization, and helping a business run smoothly behind the scenes? We're partnering with a well-established retirement-focused RIA (Registered Investment Advisory) firm in Waukesha, WI, to find their next Accounting Specialist.


This is a high-impact role supporting the daily operations of a growing financial practice. You'll handle key accounting functions-from A/P and A/R to payroll and month-end close-allowing the advisor to focus on serving clients and growing the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage day-to-day A/P and A/R tasks, including vendor payments, contract review, invoicing, and client records.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Handle W-9 collection, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Month-End Close: Assist with reconciliations, general ledger reviews, and financial reporting.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Process payroll and commissions; support benefits administration.
  • Admin Support: Keep files organized (digitally.), scan invoices, and support process improvements.
  • Innovation: Bring ideas to the table to improve efficiency and streamline workflows.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and comfort using Google Workspace
  • Strong understanding of A/P and A/R processes
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven
  • Excellent communication & time management skills
  • Integrity and confidentiality with financial data
  • A team player ready to pitch in wherever needed
