We have partnered with a local construction company looking to hire a Staff Accountant. This position can start ASAP. The ideal candidate will have construction or project accounting experience.

Job Details

Job Responsibilities

• Handle cost accounting tasks and related duties.
• Manage budgets, track project expenses, process invoices, oversee accounts payable/receivable, and maintain job cost accounting to ensure project profitability.
• Coordinate contract setup, billing, collections, lien releases, and NTOs.
• Administer payroll for field and office staff, including certified payroll reports.
• Support month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction accounting with job costing.
• Proficient in AIA billing, lien waivers, and NTOs.
• Knowledge of percentage-of-completion accounting and WIP reports.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new systems.
• Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable handling sensitive information.
