Accounting Manager - Professional Services Minneapolis (Hybrid)
$110,000 - $130,000 base + bonus Hybrid Work (2-3 days remote/week)

Our Minneapolis-based professional services company is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our accounting function. What You'll Do:
As the Accounting Manager, you'll lead a team of 4-5 professionals responsible for the core accounting functions that keep the business running smoothly. From cash applications and billing to payables, fixed assets, and month-end close-you'll be at the helm of a fast-paced, collaborative environment where accuracy, efficiency, and innovation are key.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and support daily accounting operations including accounts payable, billing, cash applications, and general ledger management.

Coach, mentor, and develop your team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Ensure the timely preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and fixed asset records.

Own the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Maintain internal controls and streamline workflows to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.

Collaborate across departments to communicate financial procedures and improve transaction-level processes.

Support audit preparation and tax-related documentation.

Drive insights through reporting dashboards and custom financial reports.

Assist with budgeting processes and help elevate financial visibility across the business.
What You Bring:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA track preferred).

5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on operational functions.

Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams.

Experience in the professional services sector strongly preferred.

Familiarity with accounting platforms like Elite Enterprise, Aderant, Rippe LMS+, Chrome River, or similar systems.

Skilled at juggling multiple projects, tight deadlines, and shifting priorities with grace and professionalism.
