Summary

We are looking for a driven professional to help build scalable accounting processes within our international accounting team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the preparation of financial statements for internal and external reporting purposes. This role will supervise, monitor, and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities and develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional to join a small team and gain hands-on public company experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately, timely, and completely in accordance with GAAP and that the books are closed each period on a timely basis.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to review and perform reconciliations along with preparing/posting journal entries.
  • Perform financial analysis, including research, and explain fluctuations in inventory, product costs, reserves, expenses, and other key accounts.
  • Support annual audit requests and the department's compliance with ICOFR.
  • Enhance internal control mechanisms and improve the consolidation and reporting process.
  • Assist with the implementation of new systems to increase the operational efficiency and growth of the company.
  • Participate in special projects and perform ad-hoc analysis and duties as directed.
  • Act as a mentor in a leadership capacity to direct reports. Help manage and develop a high-functioning accounting team.

Position Specifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, a CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in finance and accounting, preferred public accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in advanced ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • High degree of initiative, exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, and commitment to a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with other accomplished professionals within and across functions/teams.
  • Enthusiastic, and self-motivated with the ability to improve processes and overcome inefficiencies.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Disclaimer: The salary for this role is $100,000.00 - $140,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
