Job Title: Accounting Manager

Salary: $104,000-$130,000

Location: Washington, DC (Onsite in office, then Hybrid after 90 days of employment)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts.
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA designation is a plus
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management role
  • Non-profit and/or Government accounting experience preferred
  • Project accounting experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software Deltek CostPoint highly preferred, and strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
